Some Bling

Going with 5.13 gears and a spool up front.
All Yukon parts.

Yukon Grizzly for the 9"

Went with 37x12.5x17 Pit bull Rockers. Damn these things look mean as hell!!

Going with Crager 17" soft 8s. I'll put some beadlocks on them eventually.

Getting the front end mocked up. I pushed the front end forward about 2".

Track bar tacked up.

1.5" .250 DOM

3/4 chromoly hiems from RuffStuff Specialties

Track bar and coil springs installed. Went with 5.5" James Duff early bronco springs.

So for the transmission cross member I grabbed one from the junk yard. I can't remember exactly what it came out of. I want to say an 84 bronco II. when I saw it, it looked like I could just turn in 180* and re-drill the holes for the tranny mount. That way it would clear the front drive shaft.

It's a little close but I think once I get the doubler in there it will clear no problems.

After YEARS of looking under every RBV that came through the junk yard I FINALLY found a manual shift BW1354. The plan is to go with a Behemoth Shorty BW1350/1354 doubler.

Cut the fenders to clear the Pitbulls.

Still need to trim a few things here and there. I'll need to flex out the suspension to see exactly what will have to go.

Now that the front is all mocked up time to get started on the rear!

Got everything ripped out.

9" stripped down

Going to stretch the rear about 6"

I went with skyjacker 6" lift leaf springs and 7" Chevy drop shackles for the rear. Moved the spring hanger back about 2-3" and flipped the leaf spring around backwards to achieve the stretch I was looking for. Tape line shows how much I'm going to hack off.

After the hack job.

Shackle angle was way off. I moved the rear spring hanger back 2".

Before and after. Right at 45* perfect!

Bought a new toy. Lincoln Electric 140HD

I then bought a sheet of 3/16 steel and started to plan out a front bumper.
