My 88 BII Build!!

looks nice!

How do you like the bedliner?

thanks!

I love the bed-liner, looks awesome! and the road noise is not that bad. I hear my exhaust more, but that because I put a Thrush welded muffler on. lol

Shift rail fixed!

Alright I'm finally making a little progress with the M5OD swap! I took the top cover off the trans and took it to a shop to have it fixed. They replaced the broken piece and replaced the rubber plugs with some metal freeze plugs:headbang: Now I don't have to worry about them leaking.

I plan to run 33s when I upgraded to a D35 and 8.8, I'll also get warn hubs as well. What gears do you run with the 33s. I'm thinking I'll get 4.88 gears.

im running the stock gears lol and the 2.9 had some trouble around 70mph but my 2.9 was a big turd that half way ran, now my new 4.0 has no problem

Clutch Parts!!

Small update

I got some of my clutch parts in today:yahoo:

I got the:

-Clutch
-Slave
-Master
-Hydraulic lines

I'm still waiting on the flywheel and the starter. Should be here in about a week. I'm getting everything new, and upgrading to a 4.0 clutch. I can't wait to get the M5OD and get rid of this POS A4LD!!

Wow, forgot I had this over here. Well I guess I'll update this.

The 5 speed swap has been put on hold for now. I had to do something about my radius arms. The stock mounts were cracked and falling apart:icon_surprised: So I ordered some James Duff long arms and installed them:headbang: This thing rides pretty damn smooth know.

I also picked up a Dana 35 and some Spicer 760x joints. I don't have the axle back together yet, I'll probably wait until after winter to do all that, and get it under the truck.

I have a ton of parts sitting in the garage. I picked up some Skyjacker Class II axle drop brackets for when I do the axle swap. I have the rough country kit with the drop plate on the truck now, I don't want to punch a hole in the diff:D Also have some Skyjacker Jeep coils coming(#JC60F) good for about 5" of lift.

Now, here is where I need some advice. I know the Jeep coils are softer and I NEED to have my steering Geo well tuned, and that my current pitman arm will not cut it. So my plan was to run the Skyjacker brackets in the 4" lift hole, run the Jeep coils and get a Skyjacker extreme drop arm(#FA600) kind of like this guy:

Will that work well With the soft Jeep coils???

Thanks:icon_thumby:

ok!! got lots up updates!!! Sorry i have not posted in almost year:icon_surprised:

Well, this past summer I was going to get the Dana 35 swap underway but my truck had other plans...A4LD fried:annoyed: So began the M5OD-R1 swap:headbang: It took about 4 months only because I could only work on it over the weekends and I did a good amount of the work by myself. I already had everything I need to to the swap along with everything to do the 4.0L clutch upgrade.

Old and busted A4LD

I also went ahead and changed out the oil pan gasket, the old one was shot. That was by far the hardest thing I've had to do to this truck:shok:

:yahoo:

I love this truck with a 5 speed! Brought that old 2.9 to life!

I also did a lot to the front end in preparation for the Dana 35. I picked up some skyjacker class II brackets and installed them. Along with the super lift super runner steering kit.

Thanks man, I cant wait to make some more progress on this thing.

Well....about a year ago I decided to park the B2 and start collecting parts for the SAS. I pulled a full width Dana 44 and 9" out of a 78 bronco at the local JY for $300.00 and started buying up all the parts I would need.

I went the James Duff route for the SAS. I've always liked their products.

Front end ripped out.
