my 4wd wont engage!!!

I have a 1990 bronco II with the switch on the dash i got a new swit

h thinking that was it but it wasn't it ut i need to try and fix it today I'm going to the beach tomorrow and really need 4wd if anybody has any sugestions please let me know! Thanks

4low will only engage when in neutral, maybe the same with 4wd for those years?

The shift motor on the transfer case likes to fail on those. If you're desperate, you can take the shift motor off and shift it with a big pair of pliers.
