My 44 Knuckle Swap 35/44 Hybrid

I'm waiting for you to finish yours :thefinger::icon_rofl:

What is wrong with the 44 knuckles :dunno:

those knuckles are just salty looking. certain knuckles have different deck dimensions etc...which makes for more or less modding with the reamer and the knuckles on the 35 beam. just make sure the centerline of the shaft is close on the drivers beam and you wont have seal or side gears issues. i would rather be low then hi for centerline pass thru.

actual ride ht varies the camber setup and fitting of the knuckle lock to lock on the steering.

I'll be careful . I know the 35 in my truck now eats drivers side seals . So this could be my chance to fix another problem . Thanks for the tip .

Here is a 44 and 35 knuckle .

After looking at the parts I have here and looking at the tech article , I would say that the centerline of the shaft will not be adjustable by reaming the beam . It needs to be reamed just right so the lower ball joint fits .

The way the camber caster bushings moves the knuckle around I would think close would be good enough .

oh i have done this a few times.

ream to fit perfect isnt always the necessary objective, under or over accordingly to make the best overall fit....if that makes sense..

its how i know theres some variance in the knuckles and d35 beams. variance that dont effect oem installation but can affect other applications in the steering cycle. go too deep and you may have to hack into the 35 upper c more then comfortable etc..

shit you just deal with as it unfolds.

Opened up the window on the passenger side . Just copied off the one on my truck .
