I just picked up my new work truck. It's a huge upgrade from the old one, which was a 2022 supercab with the 3.3. Google-fu tells me the EB 3.5 has over 100 more horses than the 3.3

is it a powerboost or regular ecoboost?

the hybrids are even crazier. you definitely have more then 100 hp over the na.

The 3.3 NA was 295 horsepower and the 3.5 EB is 400 according to what I could find. I only drove it home about 27 miles on local roads on the way from where I picked it up.

Tomorrow it'll get some use on highways, etc.

They say the 3.3 is way more dependable though.

Which is funny because the 2.7 and 3.5 seem fairly dependable to me

115K miles without a hiccup. It was just underpowered, especially with a truck full of tools/equipment.

no way to know within context of a slaved to death work 150.........they dont sell any.

overall n/a
the cyclone though....

its the best v6 ever from a domestic. 3.7/3.5/3.3......friggen under appreciated monster.

the 2.7 is a monster in its own right....probably the most reliable.....in the 150 trim

the 3.5 is top sales....baddest mfer they ever put in a working 150 so far. for towing...

the 5.0 would be the "if i am buying it to keep"

possibly the best engine they ever made.

when i say its probably the next LS....i mean it.

Until its water pump time... especially in a FWD application.

oh yes....the wife has a 2013 edge. I took the ford ESP just for the water pump. I know what those suckers cost when they let loose. The ESP did pay for itself when the PTU crapped out a couple years ago.

Not one of Ford's better ideas
