Absolutely, money well spent. Wish the stock pan had a drain plug..

Thus why I have a PPE pan. It was well worth the money I paid for it.

If I was dumping it every 30k I might be inclined to buy one of the aftermarket pans. Cost/benefit ratio just isn't good enough for me personally with ~50k intervals.

I'm operating under the assumption that I'll need to buy 4 more gaskets @40$ a piece for the thing before the trans takes a dump.. 80$ or so cheaper than the cheapest aftermarket pan (from what I've seen anyways)

That's AT BEST too.. idk how long the 10r's have been lasting people with regular maintenance but I know better than to expect over 250k out of it. I've driven a few Ford's that have had near 300k mile automatics in them but.. I'm sure those were very much outliers.

The gaskets are reusable. I've reused mine twice with no leak issues.

As far as the transmissions, your guess is as good as mine. I am considering an improved valve body offered by Next Gen Drivetrain. It is supposed to address many of the issues where the quality of the OEM parts are in question.

I won't say anymore than that, or I might jinx myself. I'm having enough challeges keeping the fleet on the road as it is.
