My 1991 Ranger Build

Back spacing is the measurement from where the inside of the rim that mounts to the hub to the furthest point inside of the the rim. SO if you got those rims, you would need to be able to fit 7" inside of the mounting surface of the hub. You won't want those rims unless you buy some 2" spacers to get at least a 5" backspace, that is close to factory. Look for some mustang rims from an older mustang, 2004 and earlier, they have less backspace.

the furthest left is the inside of the rim, the 1's are where the rim mounts, from there to the edge is backspace.

Thanks for the help, I guess I will look for different rims. I really don't want to buy spacers too.

I wish is was that easy!!! :icon_cheers:

So I'm thinking about buying some rims off of ebay, but I'm not sure how much work will be involved to make them fit. I tried looking at the tech library, but it just confused me. I'm don't really understand the back spacing thing. Here is the link if someone could help. :icon_confused:

Thanks in advance.

I think these are the type of rims Hazmat used. He's got some pretty wide tires on his truck.

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone! :icon_thumby: Hopefully after Christmas I will have time to work on the truck again.

So I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to finish the center console. One day I will finish it. The good news is my Christmas present from my wife was to let me get it painted. :D I really wanted to do this myself, but too many things are preventing me from doing this, So monday I drop the Ranger off at Maaco. Hopefully they make her look great. :headbang:

I just picked it up from the Paint Shop. :yahoo:

So I installed a headlight upgrade kit yesterday and love it. It was completely plug and play. I got the kit from LMC. The part number is 47-3661, HEAVY-DUTY HEADLIGHT HARNESS. It runs the power for the lights thru a relay, instead of thru the switch. My headlights are a lot brighter now. Also, I painted my door jams finally. I tried to upload the pics but had a few issues. Hopefully I will get some uploaded tomorrow.

Here are 2 new pics. Sorry it took so long to post.

Nice painting man. What'd you use to blackout your tails? I just got some new headlights and they are way too clear lol. Makingme want to build a center console instead of modding an f150 one or explorer... Unique and nice design. I just did my front grille but with rust-oleum bedliner, it came out good. Got any other plans for your truck?
