My 1991 Ranger Build

You did read the badge right. I just have the wires cut so the airbags dont go off.

Be careful with those airbags.. I have set them off for fun with a near dead 9 volt battery from a fire detector... It really doesn't take much... Truck is looking good!

I think your truck looks really nice, but you shouldn't have "blacked out" your tail lights, remember those lights are so people know what you are doing, or going to do, also at night they let the other people see you.

A few months back, a truck came around me, I thought it tails lights where out, they had blacked them out, and when a State Trooper seen them he pulled them over in Wal-mart, when I cam back out from wal-mart, the guy was scrapping the stuff off them.

Like I typed at first, your truck is really really nice, but I think the black out tails are a bad idea, unless it's a show truck that is being trailered every where.

Did seem kinda too dark... I could see a tint to it or long as you can see lights through. Smoke em.

Idk if u plan on it but your hoods kinda plain, maybe something with that?

What'd you use to blackout your tails??
Thanks man. I used Rust-oleum lens tint.

Thanks I havent wired them up yet because I havent had any time. Thanks for the concern and the compliment. I working on having it look as good as yours.

Thanks for the concern. They really look darker than they actually are. I had my wife follow me around after I tinted them. She said they were actually better than before I painted them, because I finally cleaned them really well and put in new bulbs. I'm still planning on updating to LEDs to make them even brighter.

I agree. I'm planning on putting a black mustang style hood scoop on soon. It would already have been done if I didn't have to drop a new tranmission in it last month. :annoyed:

This is after I pulled of the silver panel!

This is prior to paint after it was cleaned!

The plan is to tape off the letters and paint the rest of the tailgate that is not already masked off in the pics black. I figured this would match the front better, plus I couldn't ever get it to look good. Let me know what you guys think.

Looks good, man. I'm actually doing something similar to a tailgate I bought to make a coffee table from.

Mind listing a little bit more detail on the process?

Was a little more work than I thought, but I'm happy with it. Not bad for rattle can. Let me know what you guys think!!!

Looks good man. Why the hell did Ford put that ugly alum panel over those nice bold FORD letters anyway?

Thanks. I'm with you, I have never been a fan of the alum panel.

How do you disconnect the airbag? I am buying rx-8 seats for my 95 splash.

Thanks
