My 1991 Ranger Build

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I have been gone a lot for the holidays. Hopefully, I will be able to finish the center console tomorrow. As far as the bed liner on the floor, it has helped with the noise. It’s not as quiet as it was with the carpet, but its better then nothing. I plan on putting some sound deadening mat under the center console and behind the speaker boxes on the back cab. I’m open to any suggestions and critiques.

Well, I still haven't finished the console. I did finally install my radio and my new speakers. I was tired of driving to and from work without a radio. Now if I could only decide how to do the speaker boxes behind the seats. :icon_confused:

I saw a link somewhere in the audio forum, but instead of using dynamat and stuff like that there's a cheaper option, called quick roof, does essentially the same thing. I'm gonna use it when I get the space to tear into my ranger

Finally had a day off and was able to get some work done. My center console isnt done yet, but I have it in the truck. :D Now I just have to figure out the lid for it and how to cover the hole around the shifter. :icon_confused:

Well, I went and bought the vinyl, padding, and hinge to build the lid for the center console. Hopefully, I have enough time tomorrow to finish it. I guess I need to find someone to sew me a shifter boot so I can cover that hole. I have never tried this before, so hopefully it turns out alright.

Have you tried taking a random trip to the junk yard? You may be able to find a boot that size from a bigger truck.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm really embarrassed to say that I didn't even think of that. :icon_thumby:

loving the looks of the center console and the seats! keep up the great work!

Thanks! Its my first time trying most of this. I'm buying the tools as a go, if that tells you how new I am at this stuff.

I started like that too...now I find myself spending all my money collecting tools and not even doing any projects. It's an addiction.

LOL, I know what you mean. My wife is already getting on to me because I'm running out of room in the garage. :D

Sounds like your next "tool" should be a bigger garage!

I wish is was that easy!!! :icon_cheers:

So I'm thinking about buying some rims off of ebay, but I'm not sure how much work will be involved to make them fit. I tried looking at the tech library, but it just confused me. I'm don't really understand the back spacing thing. Here is the link if someone could help. :icon_confused:

Thanks in advance.
