I was at kragen earlier today and the guy behind the counter was telling me that he had 5.0 mustang exhaust on his 6 cyl ranger with little modification, has anybody done this? It seems like it would be a cheap upgrade

Anything will fit with a torch and a welder!!!!!!
I have a Ford 2009 Edge exhaust system on my 91 2.3. Less than 50 bucks invested.

I have a '97 4.6 F-150 exhaust on mine, less than $50 in it for a stainless exhaust.

I had to order a muffler for my Zuki from Canadian Tire...the stock muffler would not fit the pipes for some reason...so I had them look and find one that had 1 3/4" openings...

Now that muffler is on my Ranger and it fit perfectly (well, almost) with the existing stock pipes (no stepdown)...but I did have to insert a collar into the stock Ranger tailpipe to get it to snug up...

Anything is possible...just as long as you know the inside and outside diameters of the pipe...

To answer your question, no it won't.

Sure, you can take a muffler meant for a Stang and put it on your truck, but not any type of h-pipe or cat back system.

You could certainly cut it up and use it, however.
