Mufflers

i cant wait to hear what my explorer sounds like when its done, pacesetter headers,no cats and a flowmaster super 44...should be pretty sweet:thefinger:

I have a flowmaster 40 on mine with no tailpipe and it actually sounds pretty good. Aside from the massive exhaust leak at the manifold.

Oh, and the rattle is the muffler on the frame, I wedged it up in there for ground clearance so it's tucked into the frame rail. The 2.9 is coming out soon for a 4.0L and a lift anyways.

And this was before I put the MT's on it

I have an '85 with a 2.8L, It has headers, no cat, a flowmaster and 2 1/2 inch pipe. It sounds nice, has a little rumble when idling, just enough to raise and eye brow. At cruising speeds it is almost as quiet as stock but when I get on it when accelerating it sounds good and turns heads!!

^ I also have a 85' with the 2.8 but we put a cherry bomb turbo muffler on it and it sounds great. Nobody will ever confuse it for a race truck but it has a nice rumble letting you know somethings different...
