I got to tell you, I ripped off my muffler on my 92 4.0L and it sounds soooooooo sick. I've been pulled over twice and all i do is keep the muffler in the back and tell them it just fell off. I was trying to figure out Super 40 or Super 44 or even a Cherrybomb Extreme but its just too good on its own.

Not recommended for a daily driver. Your goonna burn up you exhaust vavles after a while without having that proper backpressure that the engine was designed for. At least put a cherry bomb on it and some decent pumbing. Plus it isn't wroth the risk running into a cop having a bad day haha. They may run open headers on race cars but those are engines that get frequently rebuild and reworked not a daily driver engine that your not gonna be rebuilding every weekend. Get a nice muffler for her. It'll add a nice bass tone to your exhaust and it will save you a lot of head eches from the sound of an un-muffled exhuast and also from your girlfreind b*tchin' about how loud your truck is haha.

No it wont...

I thought my rig sounded like ass without a muffler, my friends sploder sounded ok with just the cats on it but still not great. You'd be amazed at how much rumble you'd have from sticking a flowmaster 40/cherry bomb pro on without any pipe after it. I would set off car alarms just backing out of parking spaces like normal. The rumble vibration was too intense for me after a month though so I ran some pipe after it, and I like my exhaust loud, it's very loud, I just couldn't stand the rumble/vibration.

thats wut i did after the cats i cut the exhuast and put a 30$ cherry bomb on and it sounds awsome

i always like having a big motor with diesel farm tractor mufflers, quiet as can be, and plenty of "leave 'em in the dust" power when you tromp the pedal at the green light. sometimes no noise is cool too. my favorite tractor muffler is one that (normally) goes on a '67 oliver 1650 diesel.

Lol your girlfriend b*tches about your muffler to? lol same here man she cant just be happy that im happy lol:icon_cheers:

at least buy a $3 90 degree bend and dump it out the side of the truck. having your exhaust dumped under the truck is a bad idea for many reasons.

dude that is awesome...haha.

I have a flowmaster 10 series and it sounds bad ass. the 44 is alil deeper but also more quiet than the super 40. if you want a true flowmaster sound go with a 40 series but I love the shit outta my 10 series. she sounds mean at idle

i hate how a V6 sounds without a muffler, inlines aint so bad, and a V8 is liveable for awhile. its nice to have enough noise so you can tell its running other than looking at the tach.

On my 85 2.3 ranger the previous owner cut the muffler off right behind the cab. This truck had NO CATS STOCK. It sounds like rice bad. But it does a burnout better than rice :D Rwd

im about to finish a flowmaster super 44 on an 06 3.0l cause im stuck at work with an empty 2 bay heated shop so.... wtf lets get it on so ill let you know how its sounds. in the am
