moving front speaker location

I was thinking about how nice half doors would be today and then I thought of how much I would miss my front speakers. But then I got to thinking about moving the front speakers and mounting them up in between the B pillar and roof or something like that. Has anyone done anyhting like this? I tried the search and found nothing.

why not just keep the ones where they are in the door, keep a set of speakers in the half door and put a quick disconnect in the door jamb....

sounds like alot less work to me...thats what im doing

Yeah I know you could keep them, just thought it might be cool to have some up above or something
