Hello
i have a 92 ranger with the 2.3 and i think i need to rebuild the motor. i have oil coming up the dipstick and getting all over the driver side of the engine compartment. and the more i drive it the worst it gets. i already have the head built with a aftermarket cam bigger valves.. so i am looking for a place to get a short block or a rebuild kit maybe looking for something 10 over... but i would really like a block that i can just bolt the head on and go .. thanks for your help

For reals! ^^^^^^^!

Make sure the pcv system is working first.
i did i checked the valve. i was told if you shack them and if it rattles then it is good.. i did not check the hose on either side did not feel a need to... is there any thing else to check or some other way of checking the pcv? thanks for your time

Not an expert, but maybe pull hose from valve cover or wherever it gets connected to crankcase fumes. While running you should feel good suction.
