More Bronco hear say.

Maybe if you played nicer with your toys... :dntknw:
They've definitely given me no shortage of 'learning opportunities'.

I enjoy working on things on my terms as a hobby. When it goes on and on forever it definitely loses some appeal. Really looking forward to actually -driving- my '99 for a change.

"Everglades Green" is confirmed for '22...

Some are on their second set of rear flares and running board caps.

Those are appealing too. But I'm stuck in an unhealthy/abusive relationship with Ford trucks. You'd think I'd have learned when the transmission blew in my first Ranger at 17 years old, a week to the day after buying it. Or when dealing with the feedback carb on my '84 Bronco II. Or when I stripped all the splines off the input shaft on the M5OD-R1 in my '94 Explorer. At the very least, when I lost oil pressure on the freshly rebuilt V8 swap in the '99.

Somehow I keep coming back for more of this...

It sucks...because the first gen chassis was brutally over built. The engines and transmissions were garbage.

Here is something you will never see on a 94.5 up truck in the rust belt...

The gen 1 chassis is almost always intact.....with oem hangers and wiped out or replaced springs.....anything later is the opposite.

A modern powertrain in a solid gen 1 is a winner....of course you would need to upgrade the axles too... Because actual power.

When comparing 80s trucks though.... The ranger is king. The toyota could wheel better...but was nutless with a load. Even the turbodiesel had a hard time against the 2.9....the 4.3 otoh was a beast....but s10 won't go where a ranger can stock for stock....

The base bronco with this 2.3 and a manual....is a dream for a wheeler. Of course.... technology is a blade with 2 fine edges.

But you can replace the whole body on these broncos....every piece...rear quarters too. So the aftermarket options will be epic.....it's like a lego....

Hard not to be happy about that...but the 4door don't look like we can get three car seats in it....for the grandkids....not good for me. I don't want to make payments on a tahoe.

Has anyone ordered the base model 2 door Bronco? Curious as to what the OTD price tag would be on one. I mean hell I need to refinance the house so I can get the mortgage out of Wells Fargo for one, and get the mortgage into my my name out of my deceased mother's name as well, so shit may as well go big LOL...that is if I can get a dang bank to work with me...problem is I only owe well now less than $25k on the mortgage....nobody wants to work with me, amount owed is way too low, thought I had a company that was actually going to do something but they flaked out too...

Anyhow, can't wait till people start getting their Bronco's so the rest of us can learn what not to do LOL.

36k at taylor ford.

The one packaged as I want for a keeper is 48....with sprinkles and fat tires...53. So it will be a tough decision. But that won't be for a over year or two. Can't even get one.

If they do the bronco ranger....which is prowling in heavy camo....

Then that will be my huckleberry.

Do you have a reservation?

It appalled a lot of people when reserved one last fall but I figured we wouldn't get it for at least a year. Wait two years and you are going to be fighting hideous dealer markup for a long time like the Raptor buyers did as they slowly trickled out of the factory. On a special order most dealers do at least MSRP, you can find some under without trying too hard.

I don't think that will be the case... maybe the special editions.

You may have to shop around but I bet you can get one at MSRP or even below. That place it Iowa started another below dealer invoice deal.

Now you can oder at invoice or below. That is normal for special orders.

Shopping off the lot will be crazy once that gets started.

Then just order one.

I still bet there will be many dealers just moving inventory...
