Listed near the bottom is a product which caught my eyes. A support rail to help with leaky valve cover gaskets- in intrigued and interested.

I didn't get quite the chance to test drive the Sequel this weekend because the oil leak from the valve covers was so bad it's a fire hazard. I wasn't intending to stumble upon these, I was actually looking for aftermarket valve covers in case mine are so warped they won't make a proper seal.

Has anyone on here had any experience with this supplier? I'm thinking about acquiring the support rails because I am a huge fan of things that improve on a design, such as this.

200$ seems pricey , is it suppose to replace the OEM gasket? I need to do mine, i could try those out

There has absolutely got to be a cheaper way. This dude just cut it himself. I've never used them, but people talk about places like sendcutsend?

Those gaskets just look like the FelPro / Victor Reinz rubber style instead of cork.

That's absolutely fair to bring up and I'm glad that you did. I wasn't even intending to stumble upon a solution for the leaks such as this.

However, the fellow did mention that he invested quite a bit of time to get those made. I simply have too much going on, and there comes a moment when your money means less than your free time. I'm at that moment right now. $275 to save me hours and hours and hours, possibly days worth of labor, really isn't that big of a toll for me in this case.

Totally fair. Minus gaskets and shipping, it's a bit over $100/ea. Depends entirely on how much your time is worth. I think I'd be willing to throw an hour or two at it for sure.

I don't know anything about CAD, but I am curious what it would cost to have them cut after someone puts in the initial work to generate the file.

Indeed that is an opportunity to be had if one could 3D print something.

The listing states that it will fit all stock 2.8 valve covers... Was the valve cover design unchanged throughout the years?

I've never had a 2.8/2.9, but as I understand it, all the Cologne valve covers are more or less intercompatible even if there are minor differences. I saw some old ones that only had 7 bolt holes, but that might have been a Euro thing.
