So I have a few threads going right now regarding some seemingly routine maintenance and parts swapping gone wrong. I have yet another issue.
I replaced the UCA's around 2 years ago with Moog part # K80082 (passenger) and K80054. The boot on the ball joint is split already so I figured I'd replace it while putting on some drop springs. I got Moog part number K80068 from Advanced and the ball joint end is too large to fit in my spindles. No amount of force will get it in there. I guess I could grind away some of the tapered end of the ball joint, but I think I'm just going to take it back. Both part #'s are supposed to work on my truck though. I just wonder if anybody else has run into this.
I NEED to get this thing back together tomorrow asap, so I pretty much have to put the old UCA back on there and just replace it later in the year. I could probably replace the UCA starting with an assembled front end in two hours or so, but it would suck to have to get two alignments.
