Paul Ryan is a decent guy, even those who disagree with his politics like him as a person and this is proven by the fact that he has won elections in his district every two years since 1998 with 60%+ margins (a heavily pro Democrat/pro-union district where the GM-Janesville Assembly Plant was the major employer until the Obama Bankruptcy).

He is the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, the most influential committee in The House. He's a policy wonk who knows the inner workings of federal government finances better than anyone including Barry, leaving B.O. at a loss for words and waving the white flag. Watch:

Obama has given the EPA the ability to make it's own rules and regulations. Like any inefficient arm of the government and there are a bunch, it should be completely scrapped and recreated.

I've seen many things in this thread that I must comment on.

First people saying "Romney is out of touch" because he didn't pay for his own education
while "Obama struggled", yeah, like going to Columbia and Harvard on scholarship is "Struggling" right...

Obama CLAIMING to have "fixed" the economy is rediculous, I say it is fixing
itself despite his best efforts to destroy it.
Should we give him another four years to try again?

The EPA should be abolished? Yes. because as a rule they exceed their lawful
mandate fron congress and their regulations look NOTHING like the laws that
congress must pass to enable them.

Passing laws on CO2 emissions?
Are they gonna fine me for burning Wood or even exhaling?

DOUBLING the economy requirements for new cars?
Only from people who do not understand that only a certain amount
of work can be done with a given amount of energy...

And the requirrement that tops them all? Refineries are currently being FINED for not mixing the required amount of Ethanol that MUST be produced from Cellulose into their fuel mixes.

What is the problem you asked? there isn't a single producer that is making Cellulosic ethanol because there isn't a practical industrial process for doing so.
IT remains unproven that it is possible to do so economically.

That and the madness if using FOOD (Corn) to make fuel (Ethanol)
and have "Greenies" celebrating the fact that Ethanol that cost $5 gallon
is being added to $3/gallon petroleum to "save fuel"

Anything else to abolish? yes, the department of energy created in the
Carter administration which has done NOTHING that it was created to do
and has in fact demonstrably made everything it touched worse.

Anything else? Yes, the BATFE. this bureau considers itself a law onto itself.
and often defies court orders. it also creates it's own "Regulations" which are applied with the force of law that have only an insane perverted connection to the clear will of congress on which they base them

As for the war on drugs, it isn't a war on drugs.
IT is a war by bureaucrats that want to expand their own feifdom on the people's dime.

The various law enforcement agencies have done NOTHING but make illegal drugs more expensive (which they CLAIM is a mark of success) which in turn makes smuggling them more profitable.

"The war on drugs" must have been created by an insane/suicidal southener
who has "Ya'll aint doin it right" tattooed on his forehead, because the only
possible end result of continuing it is to increase illegal drug profits and
increase government spending to combat the flow of these illegal drugs.
