Mike's '93 4x4

Mike, About the dale tag :annoyed::shok::icon_surprised:!!

Mike you may want to look under the dash where the blend doors and heat and ac controls are.. Those are vac operated and likley overlooked as a culprit... Good luck and Truck looks good buddy!

I'm just leaving it on there to annoy him, apparently he was planning on keeping it:thefinger:

I thought those were cable operated on our trucks:icon_confused:

Regardless, thanks multi!

there are some cables in the mix for the temp setting and vent selection but there is two vac lines in the mix as well.. look on the passenger side under the dash and you should be able to see them.. You may even want to check the base idle if you haven't.. The PO may have messed with it..

So the Ranger got its first real dose of body damage today. The back of the cab and front of the box are a little crumpled up. I was turning around a propane tank and got a little to close to it. Turns out there was one of those concrete posts around it, just broken off shorter than the rest of them so I didn't see it until it was too late. I think I'm just going to pound it mildly straight and paint it up a bit. Pics when I fix it.

There will be, just don't shame me to death:thefinger:

its probably the lot at his dealership

That's the ticket. We're undergoing renovations so all the new and used units are crammed onto the used lot.

No kidding, not a very good design those ones:icon_twisted:

So latest update, the Ranger is going to get a new Grant Racing wheel in a couple weeks, I put a Motorvation E-PROM chip in, and all my ball joints are hooped again.

Truck is going to get thee brake job I originally wanted done on Tuesday and all the ball joints done again. It was less than a year ago so they should have a warranty on them still.

The chip, as much as they get lambasted, made a huge difference in throttle response and definitely changed the torque curve.

And that's all for now. Stoked for the wheel too :D

Mikey, let's see the damage, buddy! :D

Hey Crew,

I'm still alive. Just been pretty busy over the last little while. Back at school for my second year o my apprenticeship right now, so the truck is safe and sound back home 2400km away. Been pretty good with the chip. Turns out my ball joints were fine, the camber/caster bushing had just slipped. Brakes are all new now, and call haul Jammer down quick. Still waiting on the install kit for my wheel. Other than that it's all pretty much been standard fare. I'm going to be lurking and around pretty often while I'm down here, and when I'm back I'll add some pics and try to be on a little more for the crew:D

Here's a pic of my clever waterproofing job on my PCM after I put the chip in:icon_twisted:
