Mike's '93 4x4

lovin' the tread lightly decals man.. its a good thing.

It really is, I actually signed up way back last year but they sent me a 2011 decal which was kind of cool. I figure I'll just stack my TRS and treadlightly membership decals on my window like you would on a license plate.

Not looking too good this time around crew. Such a close second too!

Oh well, runner-up is guaranteed to be in the next month:D

So today the truck got a new FPR, and an IAC & TPS off a buddy's Exploder and... it changed nothing:annoyed:

i hate days like that.... check your wiring. make sure that wiring that goes to those 3 sensors on the driver side of the motor aint on the exhaust.

Yeah, the latest murmur is that my computer might be one the moron side of existence.

Looks good!!!

No tree trunk creases in the doors!

:yahoo:

Thanks DG, not yet at least:D

The funny part is, as beat and scraped up as this truck is, I noticed whenever a new bit of damage appears:icon_rofl:

I've been thinking. I need to work on a hitch but I think i may build myself a small camping trailer like the one Jon has this summer. Something that won't get all twisted up when I venture off the beaten path.

Put a new engine coolant sensor in the truck. A couple of the guy were saying that could be causing my high idle by choking the truck. Didn't work.

Spent a decent amount of time wrenching on the Ranger tonight with Ben (thatbluecar). I was basically given an Explorer today, but since I have no room or need for that 'tired' rig I stripped off a bunch of parts and passed it along to someone that could use it and wanted it. I got lots of pics of what was done, boiling it down I have a new airbox on the truck (finally!), and I'm running the Explorer PCM with the Explorer's MAF sensor. Now it's behaving slightly better, getting a better reference voltage to the TPS but it still didn't fix anything. I also have developed a 'check engine' light, so tomorrow I'm going to scan it and see what it is. this is on the Explorer PCM so it might be a code from it. I am hopefully going to change the transmission modulator at lunch and eliminate another potential place for vacuum to leak. I put a vacuum gauge in the truck and I seem to be making a decent amount of vacuum. And a brake clean spray test didn't change my engine vacuum at all. I'm getting even more pissed now. This stuff is making me cross, I can't take this unsolvable high idle issue anymore. I'm thinking of changing out the IAT sensor too but I don't really see how that could change anything unless it is what makes the FI system choke.

I'll post up pics and let you crew know the latest update in detail sometime when it isn't 1AM.
