Merry Christmas Everyone!

I remember those tvs. I was the remote control...

And floors.

It also looks like you have an entertainment center in your garage.

I grew up in this house. It was around 980 square feet with a basement. My dad finished the basement for more living space.

That tile actually had a shuffle board court built into it. I remeber the court being in the floor, but not people playing it. There was also a pool table with a ping-pong table top you can set on it, and a bar.

I laugh when these newer genrations talk about the size of house they need for kids. My parents raised (4) kids in a 3-bedroom / 1-bath house.

Oh ya, my dad added a bathroom down there as well.

Except for the shuffleboard court, it sounds like we grew up in the same house.

The oldest I have that is immediately available. I have older pictures but they need to be scanned. I was probably about 9 in the first one and 7 in the second.

Here's mine about 1,960 something years after Gumps. We had cooler pants then.
I notice that you're sitting next to the TV. Perhaps you were the remote control when dad needed the channel changed. I was the youngest and was assigned those duties...

Did you guys have a train you could ride?

This one is dated Jan 1971 so I would have just turned 4.

I wanted that so bad when I was little. We had a whole bunch of Lionel Train sets and Tonka trucks that were unfortunately delivered to the wrong house when we did our move from Chicago to Phoenix in 70. Some other family that had their stuff in the van wouldn't return it because their kids want the toys. I guess they needed them worse than we did.

Our kitchen growing up had that checkered pattern, heres the oldest photo I currently have, my daughter made a thing out of it some time ago, Im in the upper left, she is upper right and her son is at the bottom. All 3 of us were at about the same age when the pictures were took individually. Katie is now 28 and Carson is 8, Im currently 53, the picture of me would be about 1971. I may very well have more hair back then than I do now.
