that sucks... but bigger things to come is awesome!!!!

dude that sucks!!! sorry to hear that. i work for an insurance company, so yes, they will total the poop out of that thing. they arent gonna give you near what it's worth either. so prepare to battle. i'd get a copy of your policy and make sure you can argue your case.

my dad had to argue for about a year when the insurance company totaled my sisters b2. they eventually gave him what he wanted though, probably just to shut him up.

i well i do have a receipt for the cage...think that will help show how much i just put in it with in the last few months?

Dude wtf. I hate seeing such nice trucks get ruined like this.

I hope you can bring it back somehow!

i punched the 4x4 stop sign pole, that count? lol

Not unless he could feel it. :icon_thumby:

Nope, with that age it is totaled before they leave the office. Looking at it will be an annoying formality for them.

In 2001 my '85 (cleanest one in town) was totaled over 12 hail dings in the hood and a pinky sized hole in one tail light.

Buy it back, if the frame is any good fix it to your hearts content. If the frame turns out to be shot pull off what you want to keep and junk the rest.

Salvage title procedures vary by area, since mine was never "junked" it didn't get one. Given the hit yours took and the age no offence, but it probably wouldn't effect the value much from here on out anyway.

depends, was it welded or bolted to the body or frame?

aftermarket stuff usually isnt covered unless it is bolted, welded or otherwise permanently affixed to the vehicle. so if you have a sound system, you should say that the boxes were bolted to the floor of the vehicle. at least that's how it is in NC, WA could be different.

in your policy there should be section on coverage for aftermarket parts. in NC it's a seperate endorsement you have to purchase. you may have to really read the policy in order to try and figure out what could be covered. it's somewhat subjective, so you may be able to argue your case.

How else do you affix a roll cage in a truck? Double sided tape? :icon_confused:

mine is held in with paper clips and hot glue
