How else do you affix a roll cage in a truck? Double sided tape?

so the guy at my dads work that does the repair estimates on wrecked rental cars did a quick work up of the damage on my truck...he came up with $5500 in damages...its totaled. i wanna buy it back but i have a feeling the insurance company is going to want me to pay out the ass to get it back becasue i have so many hours in it they know i want it....

That is a third party estimate of the damages, not what the insurance offerered.

Doesn't really matter at this point what his policy states, what about the other guy's? They're the ones that are going to pay. Being your the "victim" in this case you have a little stronger bargaining point as to figures. If the frame isn't bent try the best you can from them totaling the truck. If it's branded with a salvage title it will be virtually worthless from this point forward. Look for other sales from vehicles as similar to yours as you can find will be your best way to get what you want. Good luck.

im pretty sure his frame is bent because mine looks to be hit just as hard and it tweeked it a bit.

so they totaled the truck and after some argument, i got $5839.35 for the truck, and bought it back for $450. frame is straight. just got cutting today, check out my build thread for an update

congrats man, So there's 5400 bucks to bulid that. I wish I could get that on my ranger, I would't care if it bent the frame over the cab, Id take that and have one bad ass ranger.
