Maybe we don't want the 4-Door Euro ranger...

good man. ive bought every vehicle ive owned with my own money, and i was never allowed to drive my parents vehicles unless they were present.

it makes you a more responsible person and your more likely to take care of your vehicle instead of beating the crap out of it.

Yeah, well....

I asked my Mom for 500down, and then I would make the $200/month payments, and then I would pay her $200/month back. =]

1500 total. GREAT deal on my 01

Not a great deal, thats an INCREDIBLE DEAL. Is it stolen or something? Several Million miles?

It had 206K when I got it, and a mushed in left rear corner. I got a new bed for $250, and it has 213K on it now, and no issues.

I only replaced 2 pulleys.

You, my friend, essentially got a five-finger discount on that one.

Nice.

Not liking the crash tests on the Euro Ranger either.

do they have a nice frame because that frame bent to hell

Rangers have odd frames... I would assume it is simailar to ours though.

I got my Ranger wrecked for $450, but it was about 2200 once I was finish fixing it. My dad paid for half and I payed the rest, and am responsible for all repairs, gas etc.

But back to the frame thing, my dad's friend owns/ runs a frame shop here, and he warned us when we went in to starighten my frame that Ranger frames, he swears, are made out of spring metal. And after helping him straighten the sucker, I believe him. They bend when they get hit, but they don't like going back. We'd pull the front corner down 2-3 inches, just to have it pop back to exactly where it was... it was bad. He's a diehard Chevy guy and he told me if I had gotten an S-10 it would have been alot easier, lol.

I'd take a 4 door in a heart beat! I was actually thinking about making my own a while ago (1st/ 2nd gen style, 83-92 Ranger and 91-94 Explorer). One of those project that I would love to do, but will never get around to.

My friends say it looks like a circus when I pull up to school. There is always at least 4 people (including me) and sometimes 5 poeple in my truck on the way to school. It would be nice to have a second set of doors.

Dogboy, if you had gotten a S10 youd snap crossmembers if you moved the frame 2-3 inches. Plus, you would never have a running engine. So I think you made a good choice.:icon_thumby:

I have always been fascinated by the European Rangers, mostly because they have little diesel engines in them. The quad cabs also gave me a slight tingling sensation mostly because I would personally get more use out of a smaller quad cab. That tingling sensation has just about faded after watching those crash tests. But I do wonder, at what speed were those tests done? Is there a video out there of an American extended cab Ranger being put through the same tests at the same speed to compare it to?
