You can't buy an AWD truck from any other company for $26k or a base model for $20k. I may very well end up with one in a few years. I just wish an extended cab and a slightly longer bed was an option but it is what it is. I like it a hell of a lot more than the new Ranger... sorry.
I agree, I prefer it to the new ranger. I absolutely hate four door trucks, though - it's the reason I don't already have a Gladiator. If Gladiator came in an extended cab, there would be one in my driveway. Price is nice as well, but then again, it's a rebodied escape missing 1/3 of its metal
I can see the use as service trucks if you're a cake decorator, horse therapist, tree fluffer, etc. But for my use (oilfield), F350 is *barely* enough, let alone something like this.
As a daily/commuter, it wouldn't be too bad if they had a reasonable transmission. But after watching F*rd bumblefuck and hamfist the Fiesta trans, I'd rather wait to see if these will hold up.
I'd be in for one if it were available with an ecoboob and manual. But until that happens, it's Toyota or Jeep for commuter trucks, and GM or Dodge for work trucks from here on out.
I give GM a lot of shit, but both of my GM fleet trucks give me zero trouble, and my GM 6.0 embarrasses my F*rd 6.2.
