Maverick is weird


It’s 110% a truck. For the same reason a 3/4 ton excursion with a diesel is NOT a truck.

It has a bed on the back, and that’s all the DOT cares about, and that’s why they’re gonna tax it like a truck.
 
It's like a current 4 door version of a 60's Falcon based Ranchero with awd as an option. I like it but I like no car payments better.
 
Lots of us haven't been ridiculing the Ridgeline. No matter how much we like big trucks, most of us don't actually need them.
So? Atleast the trucks are capable of being trucks. My point is this turd isnt nearly as capable as a ranger, S10, colorado, or any other "real" small truck.

I just paid $3.49 a gallon today... fuel savings between my Ranger and a hybrid Maverick would pay for a big chunk of it.

They make a bunch of sense to many people.

Being able to handle abuse, overloads, cross a ditch, etc without folding in half is laughable?

Its still disappointing when OE's have the opportunity to introduce something cool and we get junk like this. The bronco is a disappointment, the maverick is, and im sure whatever else they pump out will be too.

It’s probably just that your mechanic sucks... 4 out of 5 of my Fords run perfect. The 5th one is sitting waiting for a full restoration, so there’s no need to try starting it. It may actually run, 460’s are hard to kill.
