I'm fed up with MLB players use of steroids. In fact I'm tired of all athletes use of steroids, just for the sake of performance enhancement. It's one thing if it's for a medical cause, but doing it just to break records and make even more money then they already do is completely ludacris.

Anyways, do you think Mark McGwire be inducted into the Hall of Fame?

I don't want this to turn into a crazy thread, but I'd like to hear people's opinions. I think we can keep this civilized.

Not no,but HELL no!

Haha, I agree.

Many of my buddies think it's ok for McGwire to still be allowed into the HOF because his record year was in 1998. I believe 2002 was when steroids were illegal in the MLB, but in 1998 steroids were still illegal in society; so what makes MLB different? Not a thing! I'm quite surprised more of these athletes aren't facing jail time.

My step-dad said it's pitifull.......

I say he's just trying to get some lime-light again. washed up loser.

They were testing when he started breaking records....... how did he get by it?

Frank

He used them in a 70HR season. I dont think any player who used steroids should be allowed in the hall of fame. hell i dont think they should be allowed to play anymore

Who really cares for a reason? Really? It's a sport for entertainment and unless you are a Vegas bookie you lost nothing on this but DID possibly gain the fun of watching balls fly over your head if you are in to that sort of thing.

The steroids are illegal and I know that. So are many things like modifying an exhaust in NY or CA, speeding and watching chicks bang horses on the internet.

He took them to get ahead and risked his health and life to be better at a game. I think he paid a price equal to the gains.

I am not real big on what the rules were back then but...

If they were legal then he should still be eligible

If they were not then he should be disqualified

Hell yes they should let him in. People had lost interest in baseball. Mcgwire brought interest back to baseball. Stadiums were full of people. MLB was probably providing him with the steroids. I mean come on, it was just coincidence that he broke the record w Maris's family in the stands and in ST.Louis. MLB had it set up because of the slumping market in baseball. BTW I think all sports are fixed to a degree. Its all entertainment.

Mark used steroids?????? Wow theres a suprise!
Yea I say hall of fame. He cried when he admited it, so I believe he is truly sorry.

Like I always thought Pamela Andersons Tits were real too. When I learned that she wasn't natural it almost floored me. I am sure that they would still be fun to play with anyway. So who cares.

you think maybe there was a reason people were losing interest in MLB? Maybe because pro players in any sport are pre-madonna cry babies ...... whine about how they can't afford the upgraded wheels on their Porche.........

F*ck pro sports and any pro player that takes steroids ...... specially since wether they want to be or not they are roll models to our children........ not only should he not be allowed into the HOF ........ he should banned from pro sports indefinitely..... that means playing, coaching, marketing .... even betting......

Everybody was doing 'roids, so why only punish the ones who got caught?
The sticky situation will be Bonds because while he obviously used steroids, he had HOF numbers anyway before he drugged up.

he did steroids when they weren't illegal. so let him in. but anybody who used them when they were illegal clearly broke the rules and shouldn't be let into the hall of fame.

When in McGuires time were anabolic steroids legal?
