Sorry, wasn't meaning to bite your head off. The GTs are cool trucks, just not my style. Those look to be stock seats to me. If not stock for the truck, then period Fox body sport seats.

Post it in the Facebook/Craigslist finds. Might be someone here that wants to rescue it. Assuming that the body is solid and the work was done properly, that would be a good starting point for someone that wants a first gen V8.

If it were close to me, I certainly wouldn't let it go to the crusher. I'm not certainly going to TX to buy.

No. For the way his truck is set up he wants that separation. (For every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction.) The more that truck tries to lift the rear, the more those tires are planted. Generally, when the shocks aren’t long enough, they act like limiting straps. When the suspension reacts to the initial hit, they will fully extend and bottom out. At that point, the upward motion (or separation) of the truck actually starts to lift the down pressure off the tires.
