Manual trans stuck in second gear

I was out at this mudhole/feild tonight with a bunch of people. I was just drifting through no mudding and had it in second and floored it, next thing i know the shifter is all the way at the bottom right where reverse should be and still in second gear. When i checked the bolts holding the shift in two were gone and one was half way unscrewed? I hadn't loosened them and i dont think that would cause second gear to move to the reverse position.
Any idea whats wrong or if i destroyed it?
Its a 1994 v6 3.0 xlt with the 5 speed

Problem solved. Shifter was loose, i hit a rut, shifter must have came up and fell in the wrong spot, flicked the fork (or whatever it is) back into gear with a screw driver, everybody happy happy happy [emoji106]
