I bought a TC motor and am going to make my own wiring harness, im looking at a schematic from a 88 Turbocoupe and there is something called a Integrated Relay Controller or Powertrain control module relay. When I pulled my wiring harness and all the modules in the engine bay I didnt have anything that looked like this relay controller, think someone took it because there were wires cut into the harness already when I pulled it. Now I am doing a swap into an 88 ranger, I know I probably need this because it controls fans and fuel pump and such. Any idea where to get this or is it not located in the engine bay...maybe its in the passenger compartment. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks you.

its a black box, i'm pretty sure i have one if your interested

I'm probably gonna construct something else for the fuel pump and stuff, I'm not using AC

yeah, really just need a relay for fuel pump, i recomend electric fans, i just switched it made a decent difference, it spins the tires when im not even trying kinda annoying but cool at the same time haha

That's what I was gonna do get electric fans and get one of those thermostat controls that go off coolant temperature. I'm getting all the wiring figured out so I can start hacking up the harness this week. Gotta stock up on pins, shrink wrap, and solder:icon_thumby:

if you have an la series ecu there is no need for a thermostat control, the ecu will operate the fans

How do I tell what ECU it is? I think the tbird was an 85 but I'm not sure at all. It has pc3 stamped on the bottom I think, no stickers or anything

nvm its pc1?

I would recomend using the stock ranger harness. I did mine and it is almost the same, there are a few wires that get removed, three get added for the VAM and i think two get moved to a different pin. I have an 86 ranger with an 88 EEC-IV LA3 computer.

I would normally do this but I can't find another harness, and my original truck is carbed. So I'm just gonna mess with the TC one and make it how I want it, it'll take way more time but I think I'll be happy with it.

any place to find LA series computer? or am i just stuck with this one.
