Well I've been on here awhile now, and I think its about time I started My own Build Thread.

The Story Thus Far:

I started with 1994 Ranger Supercab with a 4 Liter v6, a M5OD-R1 5-speed transmission, a 28-Spline 8.8 rear axle with 3.08 gears and the original 14" tire size with Bald tires.... typical poorly maintained TIB. The truck had 156k miles on it when I bought it... heres some pics from when I bought it.

So being scared of driving around on bald tires:shok:, I bought a set of 235/75/R15 rims and tires for a hundred bucks. then, I bought a set of 06 mustang 10 spoke rims for 200 in perfect condition with tires:icon_hornsup:, and when I went back to the other tires to get it inspected, someone STOLE ONE RIM out of the back of truck when I was at he auto parts store:bawling:

After the plastic rear axle cover cracked, leaked all the fluid out and wore the bearings out... I bought whole rear axle from my auto tech teacher for 100 bucks... I notice at first it was a ranger 8.8 axle... then I looked at the tag........4L10 8.8.....limited slip 31 spline 4:10 axle, SCORE :yahoo:
So My friend and I replace the axle late one night... and Still i'm running 9 inch drums and 9 inch drum parts on a 10 inch backing plate... Works fine.

Here are some somewhat recent pictures

I recieved a 08 ranger tailgate from a trashed FX4 at my local junkyard.
Sorry no salvageable parts at all

Notice: the rust in the rear fender has been taken care of... that is my next post.

This week I am replacing the Clutch and Slave Cylinder. along with the mangled shims in the shifter..........

Plans are to put in a Rough Country 4" lift kit, and 33 in tires...

Trying to go for that FX2 LEVEL II package that never was made!!

If it's a Ranger axle, it's probably a 28-spline. My Ranger has 4.10 gears with limited slip and it's a 28-spline.

Depends on the year/model it was pulled from...

Really? Your 06 is 28 spline? I suck with my newer ranger trivia I guess... I thought about that time all extended cabs got the 31 spline or something weird like that...

UPDATE:

Pulled the Transmission out Tonight.
All went smoothly, It was a pain in the
a** but not as bad as it could have been
The dang thing almost fell on my dad!!!!

So whats wrong with the trany? Looks like a good project truck. Are you gonna lower it or lift it? I love lifted 2wds.

UPDATE:
Well I have the Tranny out and I pulled
the pressure plate off long with the clutch,
and as I aligned evrything up...........The bolt
holes don't line up for the pressure plate!!!!!!!
