M5odr1 tranny fluid

I used generic ATF the shield brand all i had at the time, using that i stead of dexcron iii would it cause slight harder shifting, would it negatively affect it
 
I used Walmart Super Tech ATF in several M5ODs (and many, many automatics, for that matter...) cheapest stuff around. Your trans may prefer one fluid over another, just something to experiment with. Several of mine responded very well to 5w-30 engine oil, others did not.

How would i know if its not responding correctly, currently is shifting not smooth might have to rebleed lines but wondering if maybe the oil might have somethi g to do with it aswell, it aint shifting forced but theres a snall amount of resistance
