Can you adjust the gate tension on the Hurst by removing the top and then some springs? I've read you can on the Core unit. Like the shifter,it's just a bit too tight.

Hard to find much, most people seem to bolt 'em in and go. I did find a post referring to 3/4 not having spring tension on it so maybe...

You can adjust the core? Thats what mine is and i didnt know

I am wrong, i did know. Its for setting the slack in the shifter assembly. There are two little bolts you adjust, one fore/aft and one l/r

Just screw on a bigger heavier ball for the shift-knob?... KIDDING! ;):sneaky: #HurstEnvy

PM me immediately if you get "tired" of the Hurst devil-shifter, and "need" to swap it out with the "mostly excellent" OEM shifter ordained by G-d and FoMoCo!:LOL::LOL: #HereToHelp ;)

PS: Good idea with the clamps--glad it wasn't "pre-loaded" to some crazy level where parts end up embedded in your drywall, lol...
