I have a 1996 ranger i recently purchased. after a few weeks it developed a leak. its leaking between the water pump and the lower radiator hose. my problem is that i cant find that "y" pipe (bypass hose) anywhere to replace it. anyone know what it is called, or where i can find one?

It is prob a dealer part

are you sure it is leaking and not something else like the connection or water pump?

It's not the water pump and I just changed the lower radiator hose. My guess is that it's that bypass hose.

ok... was just checking

I would call a dealer, I wouldn't think this would be something you could find at the local auto parts store. Maybe you could find in junk yard but sounds like you need it now.
