Just wanted to share a tip about the troubleshooting the shift module/motor/switch: I followed the module troubleshooting guide to the end and everything tested fine...

Until I got to the part where you test for 12v at the t-case. I had 4.7 volts and no motor movement. I figured that the module was junk... Swapped it out with a known good one... Same result. The troubleshooting guide does not mention what to do here.

Out of utter frustration I just replaced the motor itself, thinking that maybe it was locked up and had shorted internally thus causing the voltage reading. Problem solved.

Hope this helps someone. I didn't find any mention of this issue specifically on here or Explorer Forum and have run into it twice in the past two weeks.
