My 2002 Ranger just started to make a noise when I turn the wheel, and when going in an out of the driveway. It is a clunk. The steering seems to be working fine. It is a 2 wheel edge with the torsion bars. I have no experience with this type of front end and I would like to hear from anyone who might have an idea what it might be.
Thanks in advance
It only gets highway and street driving.

Lower ball joints usually go out first, and clunk.

Definitely ^

Another thing worth mentioning is the body mounts. A loose or broken once makes a nasty thud.

Are you feeling anything in the steering wheel at all?

Thanks guys but it turned out o be a link kit needed. What a difference it makes.
I think the reason I could feel the clunk all the way under mys seat was that I have the torsion bar suspension.
I don't know the official term for the link. It was 29 dollars plus installation.

Sway bar end link.

Thanks for reporting back!!!
