Lost reverse and Drive

I have a '99 ranger 4x4 and the other day without warning I lost drive, overdrive and reverse. Any ideas what might have happened?

could be a circuit problem in the trans... if you have a scan tool give it a try ( if just have a OBDII tool it might not pick it up)

i know its kinda crappy to hear but best bet is to bring to a trans specialty shop.

but see what others have to say since there might be a trans specialist on here

Got the truck back

Well the problem was the tranny oil pump shit the bed. Re-build cost $1957.20. I't's good to have it back though.
Just ordered the manual hubs for it so as soon as they get here I'll have 4x4 again, and will not miss the Pulse Vacuume hubs.

Ouch! That bill hurts me and I'm not even the one who had to pay it! Glad your back in business, though....
