Looking into older Mustangs...

I've always loved Mustangs and GTOs but I've always really loved the Barracuda! And I lived through the muscle car era!

1970 'Cuda is my all time favorite car. You don't find those cheap anywhere though.

Dude, if you ever can, please, please snap a pic of that stang. Theres one that runs around here to, its been restored but runs like a sumbitch.

The 71-73s always had that more bare knuckle look to them as opposed to the rest of the stangs that looked more boy racerish (think behind the bar drag on a saturday night vs a SCCA course)

The 69 Charger, imo, was always my favorite muscle car, but oddly enough, only to look at. Mine was fun to drive, no doubt, but a roadrunner with a 4.10 "sure-grip" and a 4sp with a 440 twisting it all is downright wicked when turned loose.

Even though they lagged performance wise, i always liked the aggressive kinda look the 73-81 Camaro/Firebirds had as well.

If we are talking modern day, give me a 6.4L Challenger with a 6sp please.

I forgot they had been doing work on the body, this is from last year. Just doing exhibition runs while the normal cars were taking a break towards the end. The prostocks had already finished.



They are not my favorite car but done right they can look really good.

Call me a traitor, but if we are going to start talking classic muscle I'm going to have to go with either a big body Nova or a Chevelle. Something on one of those platforms. I'm actually quite partial to the 442 over the Chevelle.

I want to get this stupid Mustang out of my garage and get to working on my dad's 72 VenturaII. It needs an engine. I think I might add forty-odd cubes and not tell him about it.


I am really learning to hate 1st gen Mustangs with this on-going, never ending, never progressing project taking up at least half of my garage for the last four years.

My friend Hank up in the Poconos that helped me swap out the transmission in my new old truck. He has an 86 Corvette Targa Top that he's almost never driven since new, their not even worth, much unfortunately

My bro-in-law had a 81 Vette GIVEN to him by his late step dad, nice car to. Put it on CL for 6k and sold it for 5, bout all they are worth, honestly. Its kinda sad.

Adsm, nothing wrong with the GM muscle. I will say i like the chevelle over the 442 though, and novas are flat out bad ass

I had a V6 X-body for a while, it was a nice car until the interior got ruined.

Dad had a '67 SS396 Chevelle, built it into a pretty fair dragcar but had to sell it when I came along. Mom drove a '72 Malibu to college.
