Locked keys in 89 Ranger

Pretty sure your '89 does not have keys with the chip in them

Dude, his truck is 21 years old, it doesn't even use the same key for the ignition and the doors.

PATS didn't come around until after 2000 anyway.

Cant use your air bag and long reach on a Ford Focus in less then one minuet. The doors on them cars dont flex at all. And your air bag and long reach dont work on BMW's very well either.

I have done it on 2 ford focus with no problems...

use a flat head screw drivier, and remove the edge of the lock from the door, and rip it out with a hammer, and then reinstall it when your done. (with some cheap new parts)

Thanks to all who replied. I was able to borrow a slim jim and open it up. Almost had it open with a coat hangar but gave up when the wind, 48 degree temps, ( up to 60 mph gusts in NE Ohio while we were visiting our grandchildren ) and rain drove me to submission. I will have a spare set hidden on the outside of the vehicle from now on. I was embarrassed to say the least.
