i know i might be in the wrong thread because my rangers 2wd but i thought i might get some better advice in this one.

like my sig says, i drive a 94 ford ranger splash. 4" suspension and 3" body, 4.56 gearing. im getting ready to upgrade to 35s here in a week or so.

so my questions that i cant really decide an answer on is after i put on my 35s, im getting 35/13.5/15 toyo open country mud terrains, should i upgrade my suspension to a 6" lift and take the blocks out of the rear and put in actual lift leaf springs.... or buy a locker and put in in my rear.

i think both would be beneficial to me but i dont know which would be a better investment

the suspension lift would give me more clearance, more flex, and a better ride.
on the other hand a locker i think would greatly increase my offroad capablilties and come in very useful, considering my open differential sucks. the locker would also be less money than the suspension lift upgrade

so let me know which one would be a better decision. what do you think?

The locker will get you more places than the lift will with a 2wd. I'd say get a detroit for the back.

go no-slip over a lock-right, but as SR said the detroit would be better.

Yup, 'nuther vote for locker here too.....Height doesn't get ya through the rough stuff so lock it up and have fun. And eventually when ya do replace the blocks etc, I vote chevy leafs....they kick ass.

Dif A Go With The Locker . Or Just Get Rid Of It All And Get A 4x4 . But That Is What I Think 4x2 Slam To The Ground. 4x4 Go Big

hey it may be 2wd but that dont mean it doesnt have character.

it will be a 4x4 some day.. it just still has some growing up to do.

a lock right or no slip would work fine, my vote leans towards the no slip if you're going with a drop in locker.

does anyone know where to buy cheap lockers? i kinda feel like 4wheelparts prices are high

yea i deffinately wanted a locker more than limited slip. im not even gonna mess with it. i was looking at the lock rights but i checked out the no slips and they are supposed to be quiter and smoother with the same capabilities. theyre a little bit more though

did you check the prices on the TRS fab page?
