Lima 2.3 bottom end max revs? Reliable revs..

If you are ok with doing work and don't want perfect I'd just take them piece work like take the head to get decked and the valve seats ground, take the rods to be resized another time and do the rest yourself, will probably happen faster... they can find a window to do 45 minutes of work easier than 5 hours...

According to this meme... 10,000 is the limit.

That's a good suggestion, and the route I'll probably end up taking.

@scotts90ranger is it worth it to go to bigger valves without porting one of these?

I'm not sure I would put bigger valves in, the webs in the head are thin as is... I lost 2psi on the same block with the same turbo after a rebuild just porting the head myself when it's the first time I'd done it so the ports were flowing way more than they were before... the intake ports on these are notoriously restrictive...

Do you have any pictures on how much you scraped out of the ports?

I'd like to do whatever I can to maximize for the big cam, including probably shaving the head.. boport offers an already ported head but idk if I want to be spending 1800$ on a bare head lol.

Here's pics from when I did that like 11 years ago... it's a different head than you have since that's an '85 or '86 D port... looking at that I was WAY more careful than I was when I was doing the sploder heads... wish I had found that regulator though, I looked but I hid it from myself... heck I didn't even look for that cut off valve stem which was a nice thing to shove in the hole for protection... I didn't attack the valve support part much on the 5L heads... Sorry for the delay, last post was at work and I just got back to checking things from this weekends adventures...
