Lifting my 97

5" blocks?:icon_surprised:

I need a diff cover Tim.....The one that came on my 8.8 is about rusted through. What can you do me for? PM me.

You should have let those straps go a bit longer......then you wouldn't have had to go through all the trouble to drop it.

Yeah.....

I'm working on that.

The 55w bulbs will be getting replaced with 130W bulbs. The housings are aluminum, the reflectors are chrome plated die cast, and the lenses are glass so it will be able to take the heat.

A jig to help set the crossmember up.

It was really windy out and I tried to fire up the stove..... bad idea.:dunno:

Called it quits for the night and the next morning I started by draining my tank off in to gas cans so I can more easily move it around when fitting the crossmember.

Then I cut the ends of the leaf springs off that I will be using for my traction bar bushings. They are stock toyota leaf springs..... both packs had a couple broken leafs. Got them for free from a friend who is lifting his yota.

And then I started on the axle brackets for the traction bar.

Funny I was just thinking the same thing... 24 pages later. Nice build though, makes me wish I had a shop to work on mine in.

:icon_surprised: Do my eyes deceive me? Is that spray welding!!?

I mean, if it's spray welded, it's indestructible!!!

If it's short arc, man you're good!

Some good progress today.

I used a hole saw to cut the circular part of the bracket so it would be as equal as possible.
