ok guys im stuck. i bought a 2wd ranger i got it for a great price for the condition, :offtopic: but anyways i want to lift it and im not quiet sure what im doing as far as the lift kit. there was a 4x4 ranger that was lifted i just happened to see a few days ago so i bought the kit off it. ive got the blocks leafs with added leafs u bolts front coils shocks radius arm brackets and 2 other weird looking brackets can i use this lift? im not sure what to do :dunno: help! :bawling:

Those are the drop down brackets for your ibeams. They fix the camber by dropping the inside of the said beams, so your tires don't look like this \---/ when you put lift springs in. I think they will work, but do some quick measuring (see how wide the ends of your beams are, and if they fit properly in the brackets) just to be sure.

The 4wd axle brackets will not work. I think the radius arm brackets will. The coil springs, shocks, blocks, add-a-leaf, will work. But I'd get new u-bolts, they stretch after the are torqued down. So you almost have a complete lift kit, all you need is to find some 2wd lift brackets and you are set.

^^ yea, pretty much what he said.

you gotta love them old beams... also do you have cast or forged beams on your truck?

no, i think there were forged ones too? i could be wrong but... but if they do you can cut and weld the forged ones.

Aw shoot, I was wrong again:annoyed:
But I do know this :yahoo: 83-88 rangers have forged beams, and 89-97 have cast ones.

Heck yeah! Almost made being wrong worth it..... almost:D
