You might find that turning sharply causes rubbing on your sway bar. It does on my B2 with 31s, and I have heard elsewhere the Exploder sway bar is wider.

depends on what wheels he runs....stock ones will probably rub on the sway bar. i'd just rip the sway bar out if it were me tho

honestly ttb with no sway bar aint that bad...

Im not a big fan of how sloppy the front end is in my truck WITH the sway bar in on the roads... But thats probably because I drive a Volkswagen Golf normally, and so am typically used to a completely different feel on the road.

yeah, i've drove my b2 without a sway bar a lot... it's not bad in my opinion... i guess it's all in what you're used to. i'm gonna rig up a quick disconnect system. but that won't help him with rubbing issues lol

yeah, i ripped out both my sway bars. i think it'll help the ride when i get my lift on. plus i wont need to rig up some sort of drop bracket for it

I was thinking about ripping out both sway bars, and just getting adjustable shocks, so I can crank those babies to the hardest for street driving, then soften them when I get off the pavement....

i've actually never thought about this... is this feasible?

very. there's a guy on here (i cant remember his username) that just did a 4 inch tuff country and 31's on his 88BII, he took his sway bars off and said it rode better and naturally, flexed better. i cant find the thread right now tho

sweet, i need new shocks anyways, and want a "disconnect" system. removing them is disconnected! :yahoo:

that would work good with a solid axle to right? i don't see why not, but i like to ask

i dont understand, what would work good with solid axle? having a sway bar disconnect? well in that case, yes....if you even bother to keep them. my buddy had a sway bar on the D30 front axle on his jeep. he bought "quick disconnects" for the sway bar links, so he could have decent handling on the road and he could remove them when he went off road (like mentioned above) half the time, you couldnt get them disconnected, they got so crammed together while street driving, they wouldnt come apart.

and i'm not certain, but i think a solid axle would actually be safer to have a sway bar hooked up. i think the ttb suspension can fair a little better without because it's so stiff, especially with lift coils.

i just hauled my sway bar to the metal recycling place this morning, so obviously, i'm not using one ever again. i dont plan on SASing my b2 tho, my next 4x4 build will be a vehicle that already has them (most likely a cherokee, i know, i know....but i'm gonna replace everything with ford parts)

oh and if you look at junkie's b2, he has made his own limiting straps that he hooks up in place of the original sway bar link. he has jeep coils tho, so the ttb isnt quit as stiff as usual
