I’ve got a 95 Ranger w a 4” lift kit. The power steering pump is starting to whine a bit, I was wondering if it would be smart to replace it with a new pump with a bit more power? If that were the smart thing to do what would y’all’s recommendations be?
I use the truck primarily as a farm truck but would like to start using it for my commute (I coach a team that practices 3x/wk - 50 mile commute to/from.

You shouldn't need an upgraded power steering pump for most lifts and tires. I would try to get a remanufactured one from a dealer. I didn't have success with an aftermarket one. It whined louder than the OG that was in the truck.
