Lift Block and Torsion Key Q's

With the 3" keys or the 1.5" keys and a crank you will achieve the same thing....more lift than the front suspension can handle. You will have no down travel left on the suspension, you will wear balljoints like crazy because of the excessive operating angle they will be at, and it is hard on CV joints. We are giving you pointers in the right direction in ride quality and off road performance. I'm sorry if it isn't what you wanted to hear, but it is the truth. We have seen this a million times here before.

I was one of the first people here at TRS who owned a late-model SLA truck. I knew this was going to happen in a few years when those trucks depreciated enough for the young guys to buy them who were used to the cheap TTB lift kits. :icon_bounceblue:

I run 265/75/16 (31.6") on my 2010 with only a 2" tt and they fit just fine-a little rubbing at full steer but that's probably because my tires have a very aggressive side lug to them...

The 08-10's all sit lower than 07 and earlier trucks already, so 265's and 285's fit without problems with a torsion crank.

just kidding...

I knew this was going to happen

So, I put the 4" superlift on, 3" torsion keys, #1 bars, longer adjustment bolts and run them all the way for the front. Sport Trac rear springs with 2 extra leafs added, longer shackles, double up the lift blocks and add air bags for the rear. Throw in a 3" body lift or more then I could probably put 40" tires on. Is this right? I might pickup a girl after all...

You are correct sir, mostly. I'm not certain they kept the lower ride height outside of 08/09. I think this because after adding the 2" TT to my 2010 the fender-ground measurements are identical to that of what my 2007 was...

Not that it matters at all, just wanted to throw that in...

Absolutely. Put some airbags on the front too so it will be level. :icon_twisted:

I can hear parts breaking already...

twotrack, I ordered my #1 torsion bars from that website you posted, Thanks!

Naahh... Im old school... thanks for the idea though.:icon_rofl:
(But if I did, maybe 44's??)

For 44's you'll need a solid axle swap. A Jeep Cherokee Dana 30 will turn them just fine. :icon_twisted:
