Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice here.
When I fill my truck up with gas and the tank reaches full and the gas pump automatically shuts off... I have some fuel that spills out from the side of my gas tank. It only happens when I fill the tank to full.
I'm thinking the fuel hose either isn't put on correctly, the seal is bad or the hose is bad.
Whats the most common issue? I plan on removing the bed to fix the issue, but what I'd like to know is: 1) Do I need to buy a new hose or 2) can I re-seal the existing hose?
I assume there is some kind of goop thats on the gas tank filler nozzle that seals the hose to the tank. Does that stuff wear out?
Any suggestions on how I should go about fixing this would be appreciated.
Thank you.
