I recently bought a 2004 Ford Ranger XLT (FX4 LVII? Don't know for sure). I was looking at the rear leaf spring set up and saw a block between the leaf springs and the axle. Is this stock or did the previous owners do this? Thank you

Well the pics aren't working, but I am going to say stock. 4x4 Rangers sat two inches higher than 2wds but used the same length leaf springs, so they added a 2-inch block at the factory to make up the two inches.

stock 4x4 block with extension for bump stop.

it appears you have the big axle, see the taper at the end?

could you please tell us the tag info, especially what's on the band.
the Ford parts site will list what's in the axle using info from that band.

So my axle is a 4.10 Limited Slip, the axle model number on the tag is V313L, also has the tag that says the certain synthetic oil as well. Which from my little bit of research says my truck is a FX4 LVII. As it has the skid plates, two tone seats(red and black), chrome shifter, and had 31x10.5r15 on it originally. I am I right or wrong? Thanks
