I have a 1988 ranger and i need new rear leaf springs and the salvage yard by my town has a bunch of leaf springs for newer rangers would a 1998 leaf spring work on mine?
1st gen explorer leafs will also give you a small lift, but you'll have to replace/flip the locating pin with a pin of correct head diameter to get them to work.
Yes. They're the same length (56") and width (2.5"). A '99 would swap nicely into an '88. If you choose HD variety (more leafs) you'll get a freebie rear lift too (mine got 3").
