Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Got carried away last night....

Rear axle is stripped and trusted, spring pads made, crossmember move up to new end of the frame (not sure I like it, it might not stay) rear tube section started rebuilding, transfer case support made, new shock tabs installed (need to gusset yet)

More work done, just gotta add tube to where the coil bucket will be, then it will be all tied together.

Also, the little space behind the fuel cell where I used to carry my spare I plan to make a trunk so have spot to carry tools and spares with me. I also plan on putting rear fender skins back on.

Some progress

Remote fuel fill done, just need to install the tank and hose

Pic of the sump guard

Rear 4 link done, turned out good. Just gotta finish weld and make a filler peice to flatten the frame out in front of the rear lower links.

Had to notch the rear crossmember for the upper links. I have 6" of up travel, gotta figure out what I'm doing for bump stop

How it sits now

Rral good work there, this ranger has certainly evolved into a beast!

Why don't u put your bump stop in the center of the coil that way your coil can drop down some too give u a little more travel. Like guys do on the front.

Is there room for bump pads on the truss so you can mount air bumps off of the rear crossmember?

I'm sure I can build something, but it looks like they will be tall. Maybe when I lose the coils I will get a full truss, not sure I like this one.

Radiator, coolers and fan in for good

Front axle in, everything in minus air shocks and ram. Sitting on the bumps

Rear axle in, painted and all done. On bumps

Battery mount
